An Irish Christmas Heart (by Jennifer Sienes): Will she choose love or an arranged marriage? In the midst of post-famine unrest, Eleanor Blake, daughter of an English nobleman, is thrown into a maelstrom of emotions. How will she escape the duty for which she was born and the confines of the ill-fated Menlo Castle of Galway, Ireland to find her true love?

Christmas at Curwood’s Castle (by Melissa Wardwell): A Christmas party at Curwood Castle should have been Angel Davis’ Cinderella moment. Especially when her dear friend Jimmy arrives. Instead, one obstacle after another threatens to break any chance at a happily-ever-after.

Christmas in the Cotswolds (by Stacy T. Simmons): She’s a paleontologist and ardent Jane Austen fan. He’s enmeshed in the exactitude of mathematics, can they find common ground? Do opposites attract, will the romantic castle, and dashing duke be the undoing of Victoria’s plans?

My Two Cents

These stories are wonderful, just like the ones in Volume I! A castle is the setting for each story. My interest in and love for old castles combined with my love for Christmas makes me love these stories.

All of the authors have easy-to-read styles. As they describe characters, settings, and scenery, you will be able to see them with your mind’s eye. The images painted are vivid. The descriptions allowed me to imagine each character, setting, and scene. The stories unfolded in wonderful ways.

The writing is easy to read. The descriptions of the characters, settings, and scenery are vivid. They paint incredible images I can see in my mind’s eye. Their descriptions of people allowed me to imagine each scene and interaction as the stories unfolded.

I love all of these stories and can’t decide on a favorite!

The historical details about the castles and the families who had inhabited them in the past helped bring life and depth to the castles as excellent backdrops for the stories.

I thoroughly enjoyed each of these stories and you will too!

While I chose to base my castle off of a real castle in Romania, others chose a different route. Yet we all came together with a singular mission to write stories about Christmas and to bring the joy of Christ into each and every book. Keeping Christmas is about more than overseeing a holiday. It is looking back through the years of Christmases far and wide, from our real world through fantasy lands some of us dreamed up, and keeping the spirit of the season alive.
