Come See What Glimpses of God Autumn Brings

Glimpses of God: an autumn devotional for women focuses on autumn, both calendar and spiritual.

When the leaves around us begin to turn colors and the air cools, we know autumn is near with all its busy activities. It is a time of beginnings and endings—the end of long, warm summer days but the beginning of so many things.

Everyone and everything seem to have things to do. Children return to school along with a host of adults who work in the school system, those in the agriculture sector begin harvesting produce, even animals get busy preparing for the long winter to come.

Spiritually, autumn symbolizes harvesting good or bad from seeds planted in our lives or the lives of others at an earlier time. It also symbolizes preparing for difficult days to come, and the end to times and circumstances in our lives. It represents abundance and blessings as well as loss and bareness.
