Book Signing Thanks & Pics

We had a great time at the Book Signing last December 7.

As I have thought over through the all the things that occurred to prepare for the Book Signing, and the signing itself, I am overwhelmed at God’s graciousness in surrounding me with such amazing friends.

Thank you to all those who helped make the Book Signing such a wonderful celebration through your help in planning, preparing, and decorating, and for all who were able to come and be a part of our celebration. Your presence was a blessing to us!

Valerie and I want to thank you for your prayers and encouragement for us as we seek to follow the Lord’s leading in the various ministries in which we are involved.

We are so thankful for those who helped make this a wonderful celebration!

DOOR PRIZES

Congratulations to all the door prize winners!

Frilly Girl Jewelry (Leigh Wren) provided two Gift Certificates we gave as door prizes.

Growth Advantage Press and Howard Eyrich donated a copy of “Hope for New Beginnings.

Kress Christian Publications donated two copies of The Discipline of Mercy: Seeking God in the Wake of Sin’s Misery by Paul Tautges.

Lacy Wingard Photography provided a 30-minute Photo Shoot for a door prize.

Village Press in Mountain Brook (Patsy Howard) provided a personalized book stamp, several journals and pens.

Valerie and I provided the balance of the books given as door prizes.

Sephanie Johnson created the beautiful centerpieces using lantens that Vicki Ezelle loaned us. Stephanie helped us plan every aspect and helped Sshop for and prepare the drinks and goodies we served.

Dede Merk made the beautiful cakes that had our book covers on them.

Lacy Wingard Photography was on-hand to take photos of the entire Book Signing. (We’ll have those photos to share soon.) She also provided a 30-minute Photo Shoot for a door prize.

Scott Johnson served as videographer and posted on Facebook during the signing.

Valerie’s family, the Johnson family, Patsy Howard, and Betty Thompson helped clean up after the signing.

Cakes

Thank you, Dede Merk for the beautiful and delicious cakes.

The Glimpses of God cake was strawberry with pecans and coconut, and Yet I Will Joy was chocolate.

Decorations

My dear friend Stephanie Johnson made these beautiful centerpieces using the lanterns my friend Vicki Ezelle loaned us.

These were on either side of the cakes.

Goodies

We gathered everyone into the chapel for a welcome.

A little later, Valerie and I shared a little more about our writing journeys.
