Extraordinarily Blessed

My Bible reading this morning was in Ecclesiastes 4. It was an appropriate Scripture passage for the day after my birthday.

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. Fof if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand hima threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (ESV)

Yesterday and today, and over the past few weeks, I have received so many birthday cards, emails, texts, phone calls, and facebook messages from so many family and friends. Some of those from whom I heard have known me my whole life, others I have just recently met. Yet, with each voice I heard or message and name I read, memories flooded my mind.

In this world, filled with so much discord and strife, I cherish the many relationships with which the Lord has blessed me.

Many of those from whom I have heard during my birth month celebration, are those whom I have known my whole life, some I’ve known for many years, some for just a short time. We have celebrated wonderfully milestones and events, and, so many have talked alongside me through a myriad of very difficult times.

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mi.ne making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Philippians 1:3-6 (ESV)

I am extraordinarily blessed by the Lord with all those whom He has placed in my life! Thank you for helping me celebrate my birth month and birth day.

I’m looking forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for all of us in the coming year!
